(More customer reviews)New faculty members need a variety of support in order to be successful. In these times of added course loads, larger class sizes, reduced funding for resources, fewer senior faculty members agreeable and/or available to mentor junior faculty, this resource is invaluable. It answers many questions in a user friendly format that the new professor might not otherwise readily access. Teasing apart all the various requirements and organizing one's time can be daunting. This book provides a great deal of information that assists with planning and organizing both short and long term goals. It provides basic information that many new faculty members need to know and may not. This is a valuable and helpful resource for any new professor and for anyone considering the pursuit of such a position.
