(More customer reviews)If you are interested in learning to work with wood using handtools, this is an excellent book to have. The book is lesson oriented with each lesson building on the previous. Many other books of this nature may simply tell you to cut with the grain for instance, but this book explains, AND SHOWS, exactly why. The tools and materials needed are kept to a minimum also. The illustrations are also very well done and clearly demonstrate the intent of the text. This is the book I wish I had when first starting to woodwork.
