(More customer reviews)I really liked this book but found it much too text-heavy for what I was looking for. It is really great for the super serious readers out there, but if you are just keen on English style long lining and longing then there's no point getting this book. It is a nice big book with a great hard cover, it is well laid out and very detailed, but I found it wasn't to my style of reading and didn't learn as much as I'd have liked from it. There is not a huge difference in Western long lining, but if you can't find another book on Western longing, then go ahead and buy this book. I wouldn't suggest this for beginners or for the age group 10-17yrs, as it is quite hard to stay interested and I am 26 and adore reading! I just found myself reading a couple paragraphs and then putting it down to do something else. Again, I am the kind of person who likes super easy step by step descriptions with case studies and big color pictures to compare with my own horse, so this book just wasn't for me, but is still a wonderful book.
