The writing style is not academic, even when reviewing scientific research and there are many illustrations and examples used to explain the information. A great book for the beginning horse person who wants to have a fundamental knowledge of how to approach teaching a horse basic manuvers as well as avoiding mistakes which can teach a horse bad behaviors.
