(More customer reviews)What Meredith Badger did for fairies in Fairy School Drop Out she does a even better job in Tweenie Genie. I look forward to the next book to get a hardcover release.
Poppy thought she was a normal average kid in a above average family. That is until she turns 12 and learn of her special gift. She possesses the genie gene in her DNA and is called upon by Lexie to start her genie training. When your in the genie realm all night and the human realm all day it hard to balance two lives. Especially when a snoop of an older sister discover your hidden bottle and demand three wishes from Poppy even though she hasn't learn how yet. Poppy considers herself the worst genie in the class despite the fact that like Harry Potter she seem to have a natural talent for magic such as making her magic book open without a key and riding a flying carpet the act like carpet from Disney Aladdin on the first try. The way all genies have their own special way of granting wishes makes me think of Hanna-Barbara I dream of Jeanie cartoon. If she wants to graduate to a stage 2 genie she must pass her lessons and keep her secret from her parents despite all the chaos suddenly place in her life.
A easy to read and fast pace fantasy book for kids with lots of light heart humor that makes it a delight to read. Book I highly suggest for the young or the young at heart.

Poppy is just your normal, average, every day, ordinary girl. She isn't the best at school or at sports, and her most remarkable talents are squeezing into tight places and touching her nose with her tongue. This is why Poppy never expects that on her 12th birthday, she will learn something perfectly extraordinary. She is a genie! But genie privileges, such as living in a bottle and granting wishes, don't come automatically. Poppy must pass all of her classes at Tweenie Genie School—and manage to keep her new identity a complete and total secret. Training to be a genie is hard work. Can Poppy do it?
