(More customer reviews)While I thought the previous review was a little harsh and unjustified, this is a book loaded with fresh new information about how we need to view the athlete today. I also have heard Mr. Germano on several occasions on the radio and find him to be well learned and a wealth of information. One only needs to read his other works - The Brain Wellness Plan, The Osteoporosis Solution and Natures pain Killers - to see his valuable contribution to the field. While I can agree that some minor edits are in order, do not let this detract you from the incredible information you will get out of this book - a really fresh new look at addressing the nutritional needs of the athlete. In listening to Mr. Germano on the radio about this very subject, it was clear that this was not written as a scientific paper with page references, etc., but rather a story to be told that has not been told before about sports nutrition. Anyway, don't let the harsh review before me sway you from Mr. Germano's decades of contribution to the field. The book is well worth reading.
